أخيرا حفظت قطر ماء وجه المنتخبات الخليجية وحققت أول انتصار لها في البطولة على حساب المنتخب الصيني
وبهدفين نظيفين عن طريق المهاجم يوسف أحمد وبالشوط الأول في الدقائق 27 , 46 على التوالي .
وبالتالي أصبحت حسابات هذه المجموعة معقدة ولم يتحدد بعد من يتأهل إلى الدور الثاني,
وسيلاقي المنتخب القطري في الجولة الأخيرة من هذه المجموعة نظيره الكويتي في حين يلاقي المنتخب الأوزبكي نظيره الصيني,
يذكر أن هاتين المبارتين المقبلتين ستكون في نفس التوقيت(7,15) م باعتبارها آخر مباريات المجموعة وسيكون ذلك يوم الاحد الموافق 16 يناير.
